This was the day I had most been looking forward to. According to the tour description, this should be the page showcasing the wonderful views from the steps of the Sacre-Coeur, and the quirky artistic charm of Montmartre, but it isn’t. This page should feature spectacular sparkling lights dancing on the Seine during an evening river cruise, but it doesn’t. Because this is the day I was struck down by a stomach bug or some sort of resurgence of the medieval plague. It wasn’t covid (I took a test immediately to be sure), but it was a truly awful experience I would not wish on anyone. After I called Arnaud to let him know I was under the weather, I went back to bed defeated, yet determined to feel better so I could rejoin the group the next day. I just want to say how much I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel de Londres Eiffel. I work in hospitality and because I have experience in the hotel industry, I can appreciate the hard work that goes into running this lovely, family run boutique hotel. I was so grateful to have my wonderfully cozy hotel room in which to recuperate. Looking out my window helped to remind me that even though I was super sick, I was still in Paris!!
